For repeat prescription requests you can email us at: somicb.prescription-phs@nhs.net. Please note this email is for prescription requests/queries only. Any other queries will not be actioned so please contact the surgery for advice.
Please be aware that a prescription request normally takes three to five working days to be processed, but due to unforeseen circumstances it may currently take a little longer.
If you get regular or repeat prescriptions, you could save time by switching to electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD). eRD sends your prescriptions electronically from your GP surgery to a pharmacy of your choice. It’s easy to use and you don’t need a computer or electronic device. Ask your GP or Pharmacist to set it up for you.
You can also request your repeat medications from Patient Access. Patient Access also has an option to allow you to receive an email reminding you to order your medication before you run out. Please use the link to find out more information https://www.patientaccess.com/
Further information to note:
If you need your prescription early or for a longer duration than normal because you will be away from home, please explain your need by emailing the team
Unfortunately we cannot reply to every email request so please contact your pharmacy after three to five days to check if the prescription is ready to pick up.
We can only issue a maximum of two months medication at a time for repeat prescriptions.
