All surgeries are run on an appointment system although a duty doctor is always available in case of an urgent need. A range of appointment times are available to patients both in the morning and during the afternoon from Monday to Friday. We also have Monday evening appointments available.
A number of appointments are reserved for booking ahead, for those patients needing to make an appointment for a particular day. So that these are not fully booked by patients able to forecast far into the future, the book ahead period is limited to 4 weeks.
The remainder of appointments are kept for patients booking on the day: this enables us to ensure that all patients who wish to see a healthcare professional are offered an appointment on the day of their call.
We aim to offer you an appointment on the day you request although this may not be with the doctor of your choice. If you wish to see a particular doctor you will be allotted his or her next available appointment. All of this can be done automatically without speaking to a receptionist if you wish by using our automated booking system at any time of the day or night.
On Monday evenings additional pre-booked only appointments are currently available. From 20 Febuary 2012 we will have extended hours on Monday evenings only.
If you wish to speak directly to a doctor, please telephone our Reception during opening hours to book a routine callback. As doctors are seeing patients or making visits during the day, it is only possible to speak to them during these callback periods. If you need more urgent advice please call Reception and they will assist you.
